Poorly done.

tape measure

I’ve never share before any form of disasters that happened. Be it the stitching part or the finishing part. So here is my try out on tape measure cover.  I have never done any versions of cover  and I thought I want to give it a try.  I have problem when it comes to attaching the parts together.  I knew from the very beginning that I didn’t give ample allowance on the fabric on one side.  But I keep going until I got the result. As in one of the pictures, the fabric frayed a bit making it looking pretty ugly. I believe even if I got this kind of work in the mail, I would be disappointed. I will keep on practise. Anyway, I have already completed a set of stitching to make up another tape measure cover. This time , I hope it would be nicer then maybe I can do the same for my future exchanges.

    Don’t worry Aniza!
We all have some clunkers lying around somewhere. My last year’s Christmas ornament turned out just dismal!

Right now you are too frustrated with it. Put it away for a while, and then pull it out at a later day!

I think we’ve all had at least one of those finishing disasters – but we all learn from each one … I’m sure your next one will be just perfection itself! :)

At least you gave it a try, I dont think I would even know where to start with one of those. Your other finishes on the page are beautiful and you have made some lovely pieces. Well done and keep trying on that tape measure.
