February is the start off for Malaysian Stitchery Community’s 12 mini challange where by participant have to stitch and complete not necessarily with finishing but something small for each month approx. on 6″x6″ fabric cut. Since it’s February, I choosed one of Passion Broderie design. I have the freebie for a long time. I am stitching on 28 ct handyed Cashel with Vikki Clayton’s Silks.
This portion of sampler was from Sally Haskett’s Fruits and Flower sampler which was published in (now a dysfunct) UK Needlework magazine. I want to finish off as a sweetbag. Will take some time to really sit and work on the finishing though. Stitched on 28ct Natural Quaker with my own overdyed DMC threads.
Someone mentioned about DT SAL grp. I’m aware of a group of bloggers doing this as SAL too. I digged out my poor neglected piece. Here is what she looks like since I started this piece in Feb 24, 2001. I have just recently joined the SAL on yahoogroup owned by Milly. I’m looking forward to continue my journey building up the houses one by one. This piece is on 28ct Annabelle Sand which I had in the fabric chest for a long time and I think the colour suits nicely for the gameboard. I’m using DMC except the borders I worked with NNecessities.

Blue strawberry fob for Cindy in S’pore. The theme was blue on white or white on blue. This is the first time I use a felt for the strawberry cap. Normally I would just do a ribbed spider web. Using felt is lot neater finishing look!
